Even when the sun shines upon your perfect life, it only takes a moment to draw down the Shades.

There are aliens among us. From a distance, they look just like us... but if you get close enough to see the differences it’s too late to run.
As we rise to face another day, we have no reason to believe that we’re being watched. They’ve come because they find us interesting. Our behavior intrigues them. They subject us to numerous stimuli just to catalog our responses.
Still, they know that an experiment will yield faulty data if those being studied are aware of the watchers. They’ll stop at nothing to protect their research, even if it means killing the very ones they’re here to watch.
In order to remain undetected, the alien watchers replace those killed with robots; real convincing robots--robots so good they don’t even know they’re robots. What might happen if one of the people met the robot made to replace him? Which would survive?
Michael Sheppard has the perfect life; he’s a school teacher and he loves his work. He’s happily married to Melanie Sheppard, who is soon to give birth to their first child.
When a series of unfortunate events make the alien ‘Shades’ come to believe that Michael is aware of them, the stage is set for the ultimate clash—between cold, inhuman science and raw human emotion.
